Excerpts from www.bionextreview.com

  1. Read Bioscience industry literature, news, and blogs.
  2. Choose a technology that you understand preferably near to your speciality.
  3. If you want to maximize attention (or post on Seeking Alpha) remember that the largest audience by far is for analysis of public companies.
  4. If you're unsure of which topics are hot, a surefire method is to follow the money. For instance which targets/technologies/therapeutics have recently had the most investment.
  5. Recent IPOs are a relatively easy place to start for a number of reasons
    1. The S-1 has basically everything you need to know
    2. IPOs are heavy on science and light on financials
    3. They likely haven't been covered yet by the big analysts
    4. You can get a lot of hits just by paraphrasing the S-1
  6. Its not at all necessary to make a judgment one way or the other. A business strength of scientists is objective analysis, so its okay to leave the decisions to your readers.
